Username is a unique name through which the user can access his account (Microsoft account or a local account) from the welcome screen in Windows Family. Users can change their user account name in various ways such as control panel or computer management. But this change is not reflected in the user folder within C: drive.
There is no way to change the name of the profile folder. But if you try to rename it (which is not recommended), it can cause other issues in your system.

Method 1. Using Control Panel
By using the Control Panel, the user can easily change the Local User Account Name. Follow the below instructions to proceed.

Open Control Panel.

Click on "User Accounts".

Type the "Netplwiz" and press enter key to open the advanced "User Accounts".
Step 3
Now, click on the "Users" tab and select the user name then click on the "Properties" button to proceed.
Step 4
Type the User name or the full name you want and click on the "Apply" button.
Method 3. Through Computer Management
Using the computer management tool, a user can easily change the user account name. Follow the instructions below to proceed.
Step 1
From the search, open the "Computer Management" by typing the "Computer Management" and click on it. (Alternatively, the user can press the "Windows + X" key and then click on the Computer Management option).
Step 2
Computer Management window will appear on the screen, now navigate the following path.
Computer management > System Tools > Local Users and Groups > Users.
Step 3
Now, select your user account, right-click on it and click on the "Properties" option.
Step 4
Click on the "General" tab and enter your desired full name for the account and click on the "Apply" button.
Congrats! You have successfully renamed the local user account. Now, first sign out of your account and then you will see your desired name on the welcome screen which has been changed by you.
