MultiBox in QlikView

Introduction

Multi box is a QlikView sheet object. It is very important for quick selections. A multi box takes a lot of space. The multi box displays each field on a single line. It avoids the necessity of a drop down selection to be made. Multibox is also known as multi boxing. Multi box is also known as multi boxing as well as multi column list box.

Let's start with creation of multi box in QlikView.

Step 1: Open the QlikView application

In the first step you need to open the QlikView application then go to File-> New then this window will be opened.

Step 2: Open Edit Script

The second step is open the edit script from, File-> Edit Script.

Then this window will be opened.

Step 3: Click on table files

The next step is by clicking on table files you need to open data files like Excel or CSV. These files contain data.

Now open a table file and click on the Open button.

Then this window will be opened. Here you can see your table file table and click on the Finish button.

Now, in the edit script web file upload successfully and reload it.

Step 6: Save file

The next step is to save our QlikView file.

Step 7: Sheet property window

The sheet property window will be opened. In this window you add fields that you want to display as a list box and click on the OK button.

Then you will see two list boxes that you add as a field in the sheet property window.

Step 8: Select multi box

In the menu bar is the option for layout, select Layout-> New Sheet Object-> Multi box.

Step 9: New multi box

Then this box will be opened. Here you can select fields for multi box then click on the OK button.

Step 10: Then you will see a multi box.

Step 11: If you select a field from the multi box then it is shown like this.

In this multi box suppose I select a date field then the multi box shows all fields of the date.

Step 12: Selected data

In this multi box suppose I select any field from the population list box then the multi box shows date, rank, Country, rank depending on population field.

Step 13: Change font size

If you want to change the font size of a multi box and list box then use this process. The process of changing the font size of a QlikView object is just the same.

Then go to the properties of the multi box.

Step 14: Properties of multi box

Then this box will be opened and select the font tab from the property window.

Now here you select font type and font style. Then click on the OK button.
