Customize the Pane Switcher

The latest update introduces a convenient "+" button on the pane switcher, allowing users to swiftly add new panes without navigating to the View ribbon. This enhanced menu not only provides a brief description of available panes and their functions but also saves the added panes across reports. Edit your data model in the Power BI Service– Updates (Preview)

Data model editing in the Service feature released will preview in April. Below are the improvements we are adding this month:

Relationship validation

Relationship validation is being introduced in the Service, simplifying the process of creating and editing relationships on the web. Similar to Power BI Desktop, the system will automatically validate relationships as you define their properties. It will provide suitable choices for cardinality and cross-filter selections, making the process more efficient and accurate.

Datasets are coming to Power BI Mobile apps!

The next Power BI Mobile app release will introduce a highly anticipated feature allowing dataset owners and report creators to manage datasets directly from their phones. Users can access datasets in a workspace, view metadata such as name, owner, sensitivity label, and refresh status, and trigger dataset refreshes. Dataset owners will receive push notifications for refresh failures, enabling them to view details and retry refreshes while on the go.
