Google Adds Another Search Tool In Its Basket Of Innovation

Google’s goal to become a bigger player in the technological sector has taken a major turn for the better. With a basket of products like Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs etc. at their disposal, Google recently announced the introduction of two new cloud services which only aim at bringing ease in conducting large business operations. With these two new services, Google aims at taking over the large business technology suppliers. These two products are aimed to serve the corporate world that has a large number of data to manage and sort.

Google is currently trialing Springboard, a new search service focused on enterprises that frequently use different Google apps to store their information. The details about this new search tool’s capabilities are not fully known. However, it seems to aim for the companies that are looking for a way to manage and have easy access to the large amount of information they store. This service allows the businesses to search for a certain file or document that their employees have stored in Google app products such as Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs and Contacts. Springboard doesn't only act as a search engine but can also provide useful information and recommendations to its users. This new search tool, which uses artificial intelligence to surface information, will prove to be an efficient time saver because of the ease in finding documents and important files at any moment. With this new technology introduced, Google has discontinued the earlier hardware version which was used as a corporate search engine.

Apart from Springboard, Google has introduced a new and updated version of Google Sites, which is used to create web pages. This app can help businesses create their internal websites that can only be accessed by the employees. This updated app has two new features. First, it supports collaboration between different users which means companies can appoint its employees to be Google Site “Editors” who can add content and design the internal structure of the website. Second, now the websites created using this tool can be adjusted to any screen size to fit on multiple platforms such as computers, mobile phones, tablets etc.

The company has not yet announced when these new services would be available in the market, however, it is trying out these services with a select few organizations as beta versions. Interested businesses can also sign up for its early adopter program. With limited information available about these new upgrades in Google’s empire, the company says that there is a “lot more in store” for these new tools.

Google has been climbing up the ladder as a successful tech giant for many years now, and with these two new innovations, it bags an immense opportunity to be at the top. With the growing innovation in technological advancements the tech world around us is here to grow and stay for ages to come.
