Use this method to insert data into database Create Gridview with Item Template and then run this query according to your control inside gridview protected void btn_insert_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { foreach (GridViewRow g1 in GridView1.Rows) { SqlConnection con = new SqlConnection(connStr); string id = (g1.FindControl("lblId") as Label).Text; string name = (g1.FindControl("lblName") as Label).Text; string marks= (g1.FindControl("lblMarks") as Label).Text; string address= (g1.FindControl("lblAddress") as Label).Text; com = new SqlCommand("insert into student(sid,sname,smarks,saddress) values ('" + id + "','" + name + "','" + marks + "','" + address + "')", con); con.Open(); com.ExecuteNonQuery(); con.Close(); } Label1.Text = "Records inserted successfully"; }
