If you have watched Silverlight's Future Keynote, you will agree with me in this situation.
When I first heard Silverlight will have "GPU Support", I've said : "OK.Now that was a killer move against XNA."
That shows us XNA has a shadowy-future.There are also rumors Silverlight will be supported in XBOX 360 and if that happens its going to prove us that XNA will die in the next releases of Silverlight.Because XNA wont be needed anymore as long as Silverlight does its job.
I think there's another Keynote needed about XNA's FUTURE.

I doubt XNA is going away. That would be like saying DirectX is going away and that's been around forever. XNA solves some problems nicely that Silverlight has some serious catching up to do. Also MVVM isn't the greatest model for real time game programming. It would be frusterating to write a 3D first-person game in Silverlight. XNA has a more natural feel for writing the 3-D animation, adding the meshes, the sounds, textures, skeletons, models etc.

Well XNA is being used to build Windows Phone 7 games and apps. I think they live side by side together.
