A lot has been talked about Page Layouts in SharePoint. Buts let's see another layout named "Text Layout".
It is available only in

•Site Pages library on a team site
•Wiki library
Page layouts are available only in Publishing pages.Text layouts is for Team sites . Another interesting fact about text layout is that the content never gets lost for various text layouts.
The text layouts currently in SharePoint 2013 are
  1. Once Column
  2. one Column with sidebar
  3. Two Columns
  4. Two Columns with header
  5. Two Columns with header and Footer
  6. Three Columns
  7. Three Columns with header
  8. Three Columns with header and Footer
Steps.
1.Create a Team site
2. Create a Page under it and Edit the Page.
3. You can see the text layout as follows.(pls see the attachement. )
