About Security in WCF Rest Services

Hi Sir,

 

 After Searching a lot i am unable to find a way how to implement Security in wcf services using certificates or putting certain tags in web.config file. I only used to implement security is taking user name and password from user on every hit of service method. But I want to put this in web config like  

I am unable to know anything about these tags use. so pls help me to get a way. how to implement security using web http binding of wcf REST services its very urgent. so every response will be rewarded. Don't want to use SSL certificates.

You can select security mode as certificates as well..then u need install certifcaes as well...

 

Ans you have TranspostAndMessage Security as well..

But i am a little bit confusion is that is it right way to implement security. if any one comes to know about this token then he will easily access this.

Is there no other way to check system generated security in wcf project.

         I am using webHttpBinding.

       creating services that return result in json format and consumed by iphone team.

       Suggest the best way..

Which binding you have used in your project?Net TCP or WS*

 

Based on that you need to decide the security in WCF.

 

If its intranet use Transport otherwise use Message.
