In a nutshell technology (whether ASP .Net Web forms or ASP .Net MVC) doesn't matter.  Design patterns are common to all the technologies.  Your project must use some design pattern, better you can talk to your seniors and get it understanding. Since you're growing, you should start learning design pattern.  It will help you in future when you design new applications. Don't try to learn all the design patterns together.  Start learning with simple/easy one and continue with the hard one.  Small drops one day will become ocean.  You should be learning in such way that you never forgot that.

Actually this was a typing  error I mean that business layer consists of business logic and data layer consist of common db layer which communicates to database. I have not worked on mvc and mvvm, also I don't have much knowlege about design pattern.

 

I have only worked on asp.net web forms till now so in that case what should be the appropriate answer>
