i have a doubt. If one web application contains one web.config. If we give connection settings in web.config. another application can have another web.config file if i want to access one web.config file to another web.config file. what i should do?

no need of any connection between configuration files. configuration files automatically connects itself. assume that you are using your database connection definition in root configuration file and in another configuration file in same project, at the same time with same data. in such situations, first root configuration file is checked and starts the connection. another configuration will be eliminated in such case.
