accessing control on one form from another

hey i have a listview (lstvwCrew) on form MainForm which i want to access its data from a form called Export (to save to an html file). i was wondering how to do this-way i would most like would be to just do somthing like Mainform.lstvwCrew.Items[i] etc thx for ure time.
