Add Master Page

Hi, I have created multiple pages for a web application using c# but i did not create any master page. is there any way to create it now and use it in others pages??

Yes, it is possible. For that you need to add code manually in all child files(whatever you already created). Please follow below steps:

Step 1:
Add a master page(Master.master) and you will see code like below. Just mark yellow color.

Step 2:
Go to your child page and change code inside aspx page.

Firstly add master page file path.
<%@ Page Language="C#" MasterPageFile="~/Master1.master" ... %>

Secondly cut your current code(except above yellow line) in a textfile and add following two tags in aspx page.

Then copy copy your Title, Script, Style tag code from your text file and paste it inside HeadContent tag.

Then copy your html code except body and form tag and put it inside MainContent tag.
Now your code looks like below:

HeadContent" runat="server">
MainContent" runat="server">

      This is a child page content

Hi,

Your child page looks OK. But you need to change your master page.
Problem: You had multiple contentplaceholder and that was not implemented in child page.
So I changed master page and child page will be same as before. Find code for master page:

<%@ Master Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeBehind="Site1.master.cs" Inherits="test.Site1" %>

but its showing error...i.e

The page has one or more controls that do not correspond with control in the master page.
Correct the problem in code view:

Hi Ifra,try this,

Now it is possiable to create master page already created pages.
Follow the bellow steps.

1. Create one master page what you need design of the masterpage.
2. Second step is include the masterpage in already created pages like below

<%@ Page Title="" Language="C#" MasterPageFile="~/Site.Master" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeBehind="existingfilename.aspx.cs" Inherits="existingProjectnamename.existingfilename" %>
//Here declare any Javascript functions and Css
//Here design body of the existing fil
