It is like saying that we want to get POP email delivered to our desktop or laptop computer automatically without our POP client having to do anything (checking for new mail) to read new mail. It cannot be done, because POP just does not work that way. Your POP client (your email reader in your desktop) must periodically check for new mail (refresh). This does not include online email, although the email must be refreshed occasionally if it is getting messages from a POP server; you just don't see that happening.

You asked the question previously:
And that is what I was replying to when I said that the "important thing about what I was trying to say is that you cannot assume that". I apologize if I said too much, but that is the important part of what I was trying to say.
I explained previously that a RSS feed is not designed to do what you are trying to do. So yes, it seems highly unlikely to me that there is such an application, and no one here is saying anything about one. So since no one here is aware of one, then if there is such an application, then you need to ask in a forum in which there are very many more people that are more familiar with what is available. You can ask here, but if you choose to only ask here then you might miss getting the answer that might exist. I think we are justified in requesting that you not ask in more than one place at once; it is better to ask in just one place and then wait a couple of days or more before posting the same question someplace else. Since this is the type of question that is more likely to get help elsewhere, it is in your best interest (you are more likely to get help elsewhere) that you start by asking elsewhere. I am suggesting it not because I think you should post here; I am trying to help you by saying that if there is such an application, then you are much more likely to get the answer in some other forum.

Note that you did not answer my question "A news aggregator application reads a RSS feed or something similar, correct?".

If I am a developer it doesn't mean that I should only develop an application and doesn't bother about the market. As a developer you should also be aware of the trends in the market and also about the application which you are developing.
Thanks.

If you are going to encourage non-developers to ask questions in these forums, then you must tell us. Please don't act like we should know better if you don't tell us. I am tired of people doing that. Also, I think you will get other developers that are frustrated if non-developer questions are put in the same forums as developer questions. It would really help to have a separate forum.

I disagree. Just because I am a developer does not mean I do not know how stock market is doing or what applications are out there. We are not restricting forums to just development only. We are opening up for anything in general that related to programming and technology.
Thanks!

This is a site for developers. Developers might not be familiar with the applications that someone else has developed. So this is not a good place to ask this question.
