Architecture Of sharepoint

Hi Guys,

 

i am starting my career as Sharepoint Application Developer. I have .NET background. I need a detailed understanding on How Sharepoint works. means when users Post a request through URL , How is it processed through IIS and backend database and coming back with a response to the User. please provide links on proper understanding of Sharepoint architecture.
