asp.net web API using restful services in production

Hi team

I need some help as to how to build webservice using restful API in asp.net. I want to create these in order to understand the architect failures in production, some failures we get are not clear. I think best approach is to have these in place. Any ideas?

I think i will use this link, in two reasons. One being it has CreateErrorResponse as welll Status Code and fact it uses Database layer to communicate back with Http. It will give us an indication exactly on our side where issues are for these failures in production.
