Asp.Net webservice error (The type 'WebService' is ambiguous)

Question

Getting this error:

The type 'WebService' is ambiguous: it could come from assembly 'C:\Inetpub\vhosts\turtlenode.in\httpdocs\bin\App_Code.DLL' or from assembly 'c:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files\root\6c7a79f3\e02b0ad7\App_Code.hmeur2tb.DLL'. Please specify the assembly explicitly in the type name.

Please Help me!!!

Hi Suthish, Thanks for your reply and yes i mean the same app_code folder inside bin folder. And i have fixed the problem. :)

Vijay, "app_code folder inside bin folder" --> you mean to say app_code dll inside bin folder. For timeout, check httpRuntime

Hi Amit, thanks for your reply and that error got solved by taking app_code folder inside bin folder. The webservice i.e.service.asmx is runnig fine and in that i have code for sending email but when i click on sendMail it shows connection has timeout and the email is not getting sent. Do you have any idea regarding this.

Hi, Did you published your website using visual studio before hosting it?? Because it compiles you code and remove the .cs files from the project files and convert them to DLL's. Here is a workaround for it. Remove the c:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files\root\6c7a79f3\e02b0ad7\App_Code.hmeur2tb.DLL file and Remove your project file and then place the new files after running publish website wizard from the visual studio. Hope this solves your problem cause it already solved mine once. Thanks.
