Hi Surya,

The Global.asax file, is an the ASP.NET application file. This contains application-level and session-level events, so if we wish to include some logic at different levels of application or session we can use this.

The basic events in .asax file are:

Application_Start
Application_End
Session_Start
Session_End
Application_BeginRequest
Application_AuthenticateRequest
Application_Error

the name implies when each event is fired.

This is an optional file.

Global.asax is compiled to its own assembly – if you publish the web project from Visual Studio, you can findApp_global.asax.dll in the bin directory, otherwise it will go toc:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET Files\.
