Auto Suggest Textbox in asp.net

Dear All,

I want to make a responsive textbox WITHOUT USING AJAX AUTO-EXTENDER ...

i.e. Auto Suggest Text Box - User types one or two characters, and suggestions comes as dropdownlist

Just like we type in GOOGLE and we get suggestions.

How do I do that with Services (EXCEPT WEB SERVICE) in asp.net ? Please help..

1. WCF Services
2. WCF Data Services
3. Web Services
4. AJAX-Enabled WCF Services
5. Domain Service Class
6. Authentication Domain Service

Usages , differences between all....

Hi..

I do not have to use asmx service - Only JQuery..

And insert the datavaluefield of autosuggest textbox in database !!

Please help I tried the following also ... but issue with JQuery -

In short - I have to make a auto suggest text box using database-
with listbox (datatextfield and datavaluefield properties)
and insert in database the datavaluefield...

No webservice ... No AJAX Toolkit...

Append the value to the text field..

Ex: India (56)
DataTextField : India
DataValueField : 56

or you can have a hidden field and assign the value to it when ever you are selecting the text in the text box.

you have to create a restful WCF service. refer the below link..
