Bind Dropdownlist with textbox in asp.net by using n-tier architecture

@sonu singh

I am not sure how you want n-tier to play in this?  If you want to store the text value all the way into a database, you would need to save the value (with newly created id) and then insert it into the dropdown either manually in the presentation tier or rebuild the entire dropdown and replace it with the new list (including your new entry).

Using jQuery in the presentation layer:

$('#selectID').append('' + newText + '');

I am basing this answer on ASP.Net MVC - you did not specify in the question.

I hope this helps.
