book?!

Hey guys, i tried to google, but I couldnt really find anything

So, I am looking for books that have beginner problems and answers to this problems and explanation!

you know

Like maybe first chapter first problem be like write a program that will display your first and last name

then you do it

then you go to answers page and see how author did it, and read explanation to it,ETC.

And with each chapter it gets harder and harder!

A book I often recommend for beginners learning the C# language is this one by Herb Schildt which, as well as being a very good book for that purpose, is also one of the few books which contains some questions and answers:

Thanks for the tip about leaving the room light on - I'll try that.

Although I know that the iPad's battery should last 10 hours, it's negligible compared to the Kindle and watching the percentage power indicator run down still worries me :)

Well Vulpes, I have motorola xoom and reading programming books on that is not so comfortable, because sometimes the source code in the examples get separate on several screen and you have to go back and forth, which is annoying, also I don't like bright screen just like you do, so what I do is I either leave my room light on which makes screen not so bright or sometimes i adjust the brightness of the screen. But mostly I try to read programming books in front of my monitor, since I have dual monitors I am able to read and practice the examples at the same time. But if I am reading some classic book then tablet all the way, nothing is better than laying in the bed and reading what you like, and the reason i prefer tablet over paper books is because I am Russian and so I need access to the internet so I can translate the words I don't understand , its a lot better to copy and paste the word than looking it up in dictionary.

Oh and the battery part, ipad can last about 10 hours if you reading a book , so you shouldn't be all conscious about the battery =)

Just as a matter of interest, which medium do you use to read yout online books: PC, Kindle, IPad or something else?

I've never liked reading more than a page or two from the screen of my PC but I realized that I needed to do something to keep down the numbers of my printed books.

I thought that the Kindle would solve the problem but it didn't - the screen is just too small for reading books with a lot of code.

I then bought an IPad which is better except that the bright screen gives me headache after a while and, as I'm a slow reader, I'm conscious all the time that the battery is draining away!

So, I'm back again with the printed books - but for how longer will they be available? I suspect that after a few more years, they'll be gone altogether or you'll have to pay a premium to have them specially printed :(

Lol honestly, I think I am kinda obsessed with downloading new books in C sharp. I have about 15 books now...... I read first chapter and then I am going back to google to find new book. Yesterday I didn't program a single thing... I just sat all day and browsed through books and google. lol

Yeah... that's not really a book.

Well,i have college book called
Microsoft Visual C3 2010: An introduction to object oriented programming by Joyce Farrell
Then i downloaded extra
Microsoft_Press_-__Microsoft_Visual_C#_2010_Step_by_Step by John Sharp
Head_First_CSharp_2nd_Edition
then I got few Russian books in C sharp Andrew Stellman and Jeenifer Greene
