calling C++ function in .LIB file from C# program

I think this is basically it. You can just compile as an unmanaged dll, use the interop library in conjunction with the dllimport attribute, and just declare the functions you want to use as static extern. e.g. using System.Runtime.InteropServices; ... [DllImport("winmm.dll")] public static extern long PlaySound(String lpszName, IntPtr hModule, Int32 dwFlags); -Mike

I am not very fresh on my C++ , but, in order to use the lib from C#, you will probably need to create an unmanaged dll - reference the lib and create wrapper functions for the lib functions in the dll. Once you have the functions exposed in the unmanaged dll , you can make calls to it from C# using P/Invoke. Maybe an interop expert can confirm if this is correct . - dip
