I am currently looking for another job but most require programming skills in c# or vb.net, i have some basic skills in both,
but my question is should i continue with SQL and do SQL training courses etc or would i be better off building my skills with c# or vb.net.
Your probably going to say do which ever option i prefer working with, but i am starting to feel that the number of sql admin/developer positions is dropping and there are more c#/vb.net with sql skills jobs appearing.
Your advice would be much appreciated.
Regards
Andy

However, now in SQL Server 2005, you can also do programming. In other words, you can use C# or VB.NET and write code in SQL itself and run them as rountines. That being said, SQL Server 2005 has so many new features so if you wants to stay away from hardcore programming, you can just do that by updating yourself to SQL Server 2005 Admin and Programming functionality.
