Question

Volt Technical Resources has a 6-12 month contract position open at the large Redmond, WA-based Software Development Company for C/C++ Developers to join their Mobile Devices Team. They have several openings, so this is a general job description that includes components for several of the positions on this team. The Mobile Devices team is looking to fill positions for multiple Developers to develop in a test environment on their team.  They are looking for candidates with solid raw C++ programming skills to help them ship the next generation of mobile devices. This is the fastest growing division at this company, making these very high profile positions. These positions will include a lot of reading and writing of code, development of test automation, debugging and testing.

Requirements:

Required Skills:

• C++ - read/write/automate - ability to write functions.

• Experience with/understanding of Win 32 API’s.

• Networking - TCP/IP, Connectivity, VPN (Wireless/Cellular are bonus).

• Systems programming, i.e. OS, networking, file system, communications, etc.

• A test aptitude (They are looking for a Developer who understands test).

Bonus Skills:

• Win CE / Embedded Systems / Telephony / Streaming of Multi-Media experience.

• Test experience.

Soft Skills: Independent, passionate, self-starter and reliable.
