ComboBox Should Allow Only ComboBox Listed Items While Typing In C#

In Winforms..In My ComboBox I have 100 Items. While I Am Typing In The ComboBox It Should Accept.But When I Typed A Text That Is Not In the ComboBox Items, Then It Should Show A MessageBox That Is "The Item Is Not In The List"...Please Help Me.....

I also struggled a lot to find the same answer.
at last found one.
Very simple dear, just use findstring method in leave event.

int index = combobox1.FindString(combobox1.Text);
if (index < 0)
{
MessageBox.Show("Invalid Record");
combobox1.Focus();
return;
}

It Is Showing Same Message For Listed Items Also.Anyway ThanQ For Your Reply. I Got Some Idea By seeing ur code..

I don't think it's a practical proposition to do something like that as the MessageBox will (probably) display after you type each character, because there's no way to tell when the user has finished typing unless they move the focus away from the combobox altogether.

FWIW, you'd need to handle the TextChanged event and the code would be something like this:

private void comboBox1_TextChanged(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
bool found = false;
string find = comboBox1.Text.ToLower();
foreach (object obj in comboBox1.Items)
{
if (obj.ToString() == find)
{
found = true;
break;
}
}

if (!found) MessageBox.Show("The item is not in the list");
}
