controller not found my action method name when add httpPost

my controller not found action method name when add httpPost but , when add httpGet or remove , Page Running.

Please Help

Below is common way to write get and post actions...
[HttpGet]

public ActionResult Create()

{

  return View();

}



[HttpPost]

public ActionResult Create(ClientModel clientmodel)

{

  return View();

}

Hi,

Sincerely, i do not understand exaclty your problem but generally this is how we proceed.

In your case you would add new client based on Create action. So, to do that :

1- in your controller add two actions, the first with HttpGet like below

[HttpGet]
public ActionResult Create(your view model or other params){
//Statement
}

Note

At this level, you need add view associated to the Create action and which should be displayed when you call Create action.
The second Create action should be decorated with HttpPost like below

[HttpPost]
public ActionResult Create(your view model or other params){
//Statement
}

At this action, you need add statements which will persist your view model object into DB.

Hi Ankit,

POST action you can not test using Browser. In the browser when enter URL , it would be Get.

To test this you have to use Fiddler or PostMan.
