Convert vb6 to c# winform

Best way to convert VB6 winform to C# winform is to use tools. Even though if you use tools(i used VBUC) to convert VB6 winform to C# winform conversion depends on LOC, design, use of third party control like Gridx20, some active x, OCX controls etc. here after conversion you have fix compilation errors, you have to replace old controls with new available controls(Gridx20 to datagridview, Gridx20 to Farpoint spread, SFTree to treeview, SFTree to datagridview or SFTree to ListView etc), you have to replace old dlls with new dlls, sometimes old dlls which are used not availble so you have study and build dll for that logic and you may need to change architecture or may need to use patterns as required you will come to know this once you start and when it comes to design part you have to use TableLayoutPanel and FlowLayoutPanels in C# winforms to make perfect UI design these are containers. tottally its big tough and headache work which i have done more then 3 years!

 

Tool will comment deadcode, adds TODO, for code chages it add error code and links to refer to know how to fix etc.
