Hello gurus,

Is it possible to take copyrights for source code?

Suppose somebody stolen my code and modifiy and sale it, can take action against.

Where did they get a copy of your code? Did you learn that code from somewhere or you were the original creator of the code? Did you have any copyright info in the code?

Code is being copied everywhere because original product team also shares code samples. So, it's not possible to go after someone about copying code, unless you can prove in court that you were the original inventor of the algorithm. OR they have copied a serious bulk of code or a library or classes and they are selling it to make profits and you can prove that.

If You have / had contract with employee that covers all aspects of Your work, including copyright, just read contract carefully and it will all be clear.

If not, than it is not possible at any cortyard on this planet to prove that You even have / had been employee :)

            I referred various articles but i fount there is no copyright for technologies.That might be only applicable in US only.There are many ways to encrypt the source code from the software and also that are ratherless stolen by the hackers or on another ways.

      But you may create you program with PRIVATE() function that i svery much helpful to secure our program from the Thieves.

Actully i do n't have copyright for my code and my employee stolen my code.
Then it is possible to take any ligeal action?

If possible then provide me contact details whome you met, may be he will help me on it.

For Indian we have to meet with legal lawyer. One time I went, they said only after completing full coding they can charge. And I think for each page the charger is applicable. Means based on number of pages they charge. I am not sure about the payment. Consultant a Legal lawyer.
