Dear All,

I have been assigned a task to make a web page using-

1. VS Code (Visual Studio Code - https://code.visualstudio.com/).

2. Angular2

3. Node.js

4. SQL Server.

Please guide...

How do we create a Page on Visual Studio Code (VS Code).

Page - Normal Registration Page.

I am only able to connect it to DB.

I have installed all the extensions.

I have visited the sites on C-SharpCorner also.

Finally, I have succeed in setting an environment with VS CODE on Angular4.

I have one query about this... In ASP.NET - we have Master Pages that we use to design the website template...

What do we do to make templates in Angular4 ??

Hello all.. I need to connect my VS Code with SQL SERVER - Windows AUthentication.

Hello all...
I need one more help in VS CODE... I have installed MS SQL SERVER Extension.
When I connect it to SQL Database, a file "settings.json" gets created.

But, this file "settings.json", is created in C:\Users\AppData\Roaming\vscode path... while my Project Folder is in D:\VSCODE\Projects\PRJ_1.

How to create this file "settings.json" in D:\VSCODE\Projects\PRJ_1.?

Hi Riddhi,

First understand what is the need of Visual studio code and what is the need of Visual studio 2017.

According to your requirement,

You will use Visual studio code for create angular application and visual studio 2017 for create the web api for web methods.

1- So , First you will install Visual studio code in your system:
by below link:
https://code.visualstudio.com/download

Step 2
Now, you will install NodeJS. If you have not installed it already do so with the help of the below URL:

https://nodejs.org/en/download/

Step 3

Now, open the node JS command window by run as administrator and first remove the angular CLI which you added previously by :

npm uninstall -g @angular/cli

then install the Angular CLI (Command Line Interface for Angular) with the help of the below command:

npm install -g @angular/cli

or

npm install -g @angular/cli@latest

Step 4: Now, If you have not typescript then please install it :

npm i typescript

Now you can create the angular application :

ng new app-name

When successfully create the application you can run the application using command:

ng serve in the command window.

Now, you can open and work with visual studio code for the created application by below steps:

Step1: Open the Visual studio code with new window option .

Step2: With in the Visual Studio code click on File-> Open Folder .

Step3: Select the Folder means application which you created the Application with Angular CLI and click on Select Folder.

Step4: Now Your Angular application will show with in Visual Studio Code.

Now you can create the componanet and html file for registration page etc and services for communicate to web api using http and observable.

For Web API: You can use visual studio 2017 and create the web methods using HTTPPOST and HTTPGET which you want.

These are main steps which you want.

Visual Studio Code is just an code editor. It's the same things as Visual Studio but with different version. ASP.NET Core is a new web framework for building cross-platoform apps. Angular is a Single Page Application (SPA) in which you can use to build UIs.

Having that said, you can could combine both ASP.NET Core ang Angular to build web apps and use whatever code editor you want. VS Code or VS Community or Enterprise edition.

Hi Riddhi,

The VS code is the editor in which you can start the work on application as Angular 2 which you want to create .

If you want to create Angular 2 application then you can use Angular CLI . You can help with my tutorial:

Dear sir,

I have to develop the page in VS CODE (This is a new editor)..

It is different from VS CORE (This is in Visual Studio IDE).
