Hi,

I have one table that table contain Id and location i want know find out below output.

Table name: EmployeeDet

id Location
------------------
1 Saidapet
2 Tnagar
3 Velachery
4 Kottivakkam
5 Tnagar
6 Saidapet
7 Tnagar
8 Saidapet
9 Tnagar
10 Tnagar

My question is how to group in location wise i.e 5 tnagar shall i use rank

just group by query will be like this.

select Location from EmployeeDet
group by Location

but if you write your exsist data of your table and your desire data so may be i can make query for you...
