dataGridView to dataGridView

I have a datagrid view like this:

Item	Price
A	3
B	4
A	5
B	6
A	3
C	2
C	1

I need a new datagridview like this:

Sl. No.	Item	Total Price
1	A	11
2	B	10
3	C	3

How is it possible?

You need to group by the element. This can be done by taking the values from each column. And stroing in the list and then back populating it.

List ls=new List;
for(int i=0;i
{
string val= Convert.ToString(DataBinder.Eval(e.Row.DataItem, "Column name"));
ls.Add(val);
}
var groupedList = orderedList .GroupBy(c => new {c.Column) .ToList();
foreach(var group in groupedList)
{
List> cps = group.ToList();
}

Dear Midhun/Rahul/Amit/Rakesh Sir, I am very new in code. Please add some more lines for me. The name of my dgv is dataGridView1APen and I have a button named ArmyNC. When I shall press the button then the new dgv will appear. Please help me.

The old dgv is like:

Type	Item	Price	Quantity
L	A	3	2
M	B	4	3
L	A	5	7
M	B	6	8
L	A	3	5
S	C	2	9
S	C	1	12

The new dgv will like:

Sl. No.	Type	Item	TotalPrice	TotalQuantity
1	L	A	11	14
2	M	B	10	11
3	S	C	3	21

var groupedData = from b in datatable.AsEnumerable()
                  group b by b.Field<string>("Item") into g
                  select new
                  {
                      SlNo = ++SlNo,
                      Item = g.Key,
                      TotalPrice = g.Sum(x => x.Field<int>("Price"))

It was not a good practice to post a same question again and not to respond on your previous same query.

Anyway, have you tried using Group by clause?
