i want to do in datalist using one textbox and one button how to client side validation use in datalist

click on button textbox can not be blank

i am using datalist textbox and button i want to click on button and check the client side validation textbox can not be blank

Is your datalist always in editable mode, can you show your design of how your data list looks like
