datetime textbox as null

i have two textbox which is datetime textmode i want to add 1 text box value as null how can i do that

Monika please once use below code:

private void checkBox1_CheckedChanged(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
   if(checkBox1.Checked == true;)
   {
      DateTime m_FirstDate;
      DateTime.TryParse(textBox1.Text, out m_FirstDate);

    // Pass m_FirstDate to your database

   }
}

private void checkBox2_CheckedChanged(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
if(checkBox2.Checked == true;)
   {
      DateTime? m_SecondDate = DateTime.Parse(textBox2.Text);
      m_SecondDate = null;

// But make sure before passing m_SecondDate to database that in database this field is nullable

      // Pass m_SecondDate to your database
   }

}

no i cant enter that in string... as i hv two checkbox on 1st checkbox click i am saving txtDateTime.textr value
and on second checkbox click i am saving another text box value

Hi,

txtDateTime.Text = DateTime.Now.ToString();
txtFinishDate.Text = null;

You can use Convert.ToString() it handles null values. Just insert your value into database using the below format..

Convert.ToString(txtFinishDate.Text); // Without Convert.ToString() you got null value error...

i have two textbox 1 i will enter date and in other i will not enter date n both save in db if i am passing second as null then showing an error

Monica please once try below code. May you like this:

textBox1.Text = DateTime.Today.ToString();
textBox2.Text = null;

if (string.IsNullOrEmpty(textBox2.Text))
{
MessageBox.Show("Textbox having null value.");
}

Question is not clear..!!

If you want to fix one textbox as null value..?

Try this..

txtDateTime.Text = DateTime.Now.ToString();
txtFinishDate.Text = null;

txtFinishDate.Text = (this text box value should be entered as null)
