Debugging in VS.NET

I'm not sure if this is what kind of help you are looking for, but let me give a shot at this. I use C# for Windows Applications, so I'm not sure if this info will apply to the other groups or not. While you are looking at your code, you can apply breakpoints to it by either clicking on the far left of the line of code (right where it changes color to something other than white) (note that the line will turn a reddish color once it becomes a breakpoint) or by clicking DeBug and then New Breakpoint (where you will have to specify the line number and have many other options). Once you create a breakpoint, click Debug and Start. The program will pause when it reaches the line of code that you have decided to make a breakpoint. When the breakpoint is reached and the program pauses, you should be able to see 2 tabs at the bottom left of the code window. They are called Autos and Locals. If you hover the mouse over either of these tabs, it will show a window with all the variables and other needed information. This should give you an idea of what is going on in your program at the time the breakpoint is reached. You can add as many breakpoints as is needed. You can remove them by clicking the same spot used to apply them. I hope this helps. Blue Gohan was here...
