deployment in IIS angular 7 and Web API

Question

Hi All, Please help me on deployment in Angular 7 and WEB API in IIS local machine. I deployed both but Angular does not connect the Web API. thanks Advance

Hey Raju, First bulid your angular application with ng build commond and copy dist folder then paste on to the webapi project . Second deploy webapi project and map path with dist folder index page

Hello Raju Sir, First of all build your Angular project by using ng build command. This will generate some files inside your Angular 7 project under folder with name dist. Till dist will be your physical path of your Angular 7 project. You can copy and paste that folder anywhere in your system, but make sure that that folder path will be your physical path of Angular 7 project. Same process is for ASP .Net MVC /Core project. First right click on your web project and choose option publish,then click on start. Then choose option folder. Then if you want to set different path where all files will get published, you can set that on clicking of browse button or you can just click on publish button. That path of your published project will be Server side codes physical path. May following steps will help you to deploy your project on server :- 1. Open your IIS Manager. 2. You can see you machine name under connection tab. 3. Just expand that list. 4. You will able to see sites folder after expantion. 5. You will able to see Default Web Site. 6. You can set path of you Angular 7 (Client side) code to Default Web Site. 7. Expand that list to add your Application I mean you Server code i.e. either you ASP .Net MVC or ASP .Net Core. 8. Right click on Default Web Site and then click on Add Application. 9. Give any Alias name and let that Application pool as DefaultAppPool. 10. You can set path which is physical path of your server side code and click on okay. To set Angular 7 physical path what you can do is as follows :- Right click on Deult Web Site and choose option manage website. In that choose option Advanced Settings.After that set physical path of your Angular project. I don't know if any step is missed, but still this will be helpful for you.
