I have given the base code with base functionality for a product. In that i have to add on my enhancement functionality. In somecase i have to use that code and in somecase i want to extend the functionality of some build in's.

may i get suggestion what kind of approach of code model suits for this ?

- The open–closed principle(Second principle of SOLID principles) states "software entities (classes, modules, functions, etc.) should be open for extension, but closed for modification"
