I want to know what is dirty read in SQL server.

When one transaction changes the value in database and other transaction running on the same time reads the changes value but the chances may be the value changes by first transaction may rolled back. This is known as dirty read scenario. We can easily allow database to eliminate this situation but this solution comes with some performance cost.
