Doubt about cross-frame scripting

overlapping frames might be a problem. With regular FRAME tags anyhoo. You might be able to do it with an IFRAME. Put the IFrames within their own DIV element and set the positioning and z-order of the DIV element instead of the frame within it. I'm njot sure how, or if this will work, but you could give it a try. Keep in mind though, that IFRAME support in older browsers is..well, lacking :)

I asume you are talking about some clientside javascripting? you can have a frameset load whatever pages, from whatever domain you want and use them in the same javascript. like in a webpage with 2 frames.. both have pages loaded from different sites. www.firstsite.com and www.secondsite.com respectively. var Page1, Page2; Page1 = parent.frames[0].document; Page2 = parent.frames[1].document // now assume both sites have a textbox (input element) // on them of which you know the name or id. var textbox1 = Page1.getElementById( "thisTextBoxID" ); var textbox2 = Page2.getElementById( "thatTextBoxID" ); now you can use the textbox values from both sites within 1 and the same script. you can ofcourse also call elements in Page2 directly from inside a Page1 script. You do this via the parent.frames[] array. Note that you must be absolutely sure that both pages exist within an overlying frameset for this to work.
