Drop Down List Pre-Selection

Let me restate this: ddlStateList is the ID of a drop down list has already been through DataSource and DataBind process. I do not see the FindStringExact() function in the ddlStateList object. I will give it a try anyway.

Try this: int x = -1; x = ddlState.FindStringExact("Utah", x); Tony

I wonder if you could help me from this point. I have ddlStateList as the is of a drop down list containing all the state names. How do I pre-select "Utah"?
