Dropdown list based on another Dropdown List

Hi

I have 2 tables . States & Locations. I want on selection of State Location dropdown should get enabled & only those Locations should appear which State user has selected.

You need to send an ajax request with StateId on StateDDL change and on success fill the citiesDDL .
$("#stateDDL").change(function(){
var stateId=$(this).val();

$.post("/home/getCitiesByState?StateId="+stateId,frunction(res)
{
$.each(res, function(x,y){
$("#ddlCity").append($("",{
value:y.cityId,
text:y.CityName

}));

});

});

});
where  getCitiesByState(int stateId) method
returns list of cities within a state
