Else statement shows Problems

Hi,
im a VS beginner and im having a problem with else statement
whenever im using else or else if it shows red lines underneath and never start debugging and shows build error dialogue
however if statement is alrite

please help and guide me through

When asking questions about a problem that is causing an error messge, it is usually necessary to specify the exact and complete error message. You say "shows build error dialogue" so you should tell us what the error message is.

Make sure you are not missing the { } curly braces for defining the block of "if" before using else.

It sounds like your curly brackets may not be matched.

The syntax of the 'if' statement is essentially like this:

if (condition1)
{
   // block of statements
}
else if (condition2)
{
   // block of statements
}
else
{
   // block of statements
}

The 'else' and 'else if' clauses are, of course, optional.

If there's only a single statement in a block, then you can omit the {} for that block though I often leave them in to aid readability.

The blocks can also include other nested if/else statements but if you stick to the basic rules, you shouldn't have a problem.
