when i go to create controller using code first approach in entity framework.then i got error unable to retrieve  metadata .

if you are using sql server then try this
in webconfig file

public class BTDContext : DbContext
{
public BTDContext()
: base("name=YourDbContext")
{
}
protected override void OnModelCreating(DbModelBuilder modelBuilder)
{
base.OnModelCreating(modelBuilder);

}
public DbSet Products { get; set; }

}
}
