Error message on deployment to IIS 8,5

Dear all

I have finished an asp.net csharp application compiled and deployed to windowws server 2012 but when i attemp to run the application the error message comes up

Error messsage: HTTP ERROR 404.0

The resourse you are looking for has been moved , had its name changed or is temporarily unavailable

what should i do

There can be multiple reasons for this error.
