finding a way to get the first and next month of the date with jQuery

this is my first date,

01/06/2018

and I want is,

01/07/2018

How can i solve this?

Okay so you are getting the date format as "DD/MM/YYYY".

2. if (now.getMonth() == 11) {
3. var current = new Date(now.getFullYear() + 1, 0, 1);
4. } else {
5. var current = new Date(now.getFullYear(), now.getMonth() + 1, 1);
6. }
this will be your solution.

If you want the date in given format then you can use following format code
1. formatted_date = current.getDate() + "/" + (current.getMonth() + 1) + "/" + current.getFullYear()
Your full code will be:
1. var date = "01/06/2018";
2. var dateParts = date.split("/");
3. var dateObject = new Date(+dateParts[2], dateParts[1] - 1, +dateParts[0]);
4. if (dateObject.getMonth() == 11) {
5. var current = new Date(dateObject.getFullYear() + 1, 0, 1);
6. formatted_date = current.getDate() + "/" + (current.getMonth() + 1) + "/" + current.getFullYear()
7. console.log(formatted_date);
8. } else {
9. var current = new Date(dateObject.getFullYear(), dateObject.getMonth() + 1, 1);
10. formatted_date = current.getDate() + "/" + (current.getMonth() + 1) + "/" + current.getFullYear()
11. console.log(formatted_date);
12. }
