Using GDI+ in a .Net web application. I am creating a graphic with text but need to know the size (length) of a string and I also need to control the kerning (spacing between letters). Any suggestions?

Sorry, don't quote the font size like I did. Font f = new Font("Arial", 5); SizeF textsize = g.MeasureString("This is a test", f);

Your starting point should probably be Graphics.MeasureString() to get the size of the string in a given font. The kerning probably depends on the font. You may have to draw each character individually to control that. In the example below, g is a Graphics object. textsize will now contain the width and height of the string in the given font. Font f = new Font("Arial", "5"); SizeF textsize = g.MeasureString("This is a test", f);
