AI will create major chaos when it comes to security, authenticity, and validity. Generative AI is a problem in the sense that you can create deepfakes. Because of that, it will be a challenge to find out who is calling you on a video :) OR people will make photos, videos, voices of others. While developers will build secure systems, hackers will also do something bad with AI. Time will tell

As of late 2025, the future has become less about speculative breakthroughs and more about securing and operationalizing the AI we already have.
The biggest shift is the move towards secure, local-first AI. Companies have prioritized data privacy, so instead of sending sensitive information to public cloud APIs, we now see widespread use of AI models that can run on-premise or directly on a developer's machine. This has made AI viable for highly regulated industries like finance and healthcare.
As a developer, this means AI has become an integrated part of the DevSecOps pipeline:
Security: AI agents are now standard for automated code reviews, flagging vulnerabilities and potential data leaks.
Productivity: They don't just complete code; they generate robust unit tests, fix minor bugs, and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
In short, the future of AI is secure because the technology is now mature enough to be integrated directly into our core infrastructure, shifting the focus from invention to secure implementation.

By 2025, AI security is expected to evolve significantly, with stronger regulations (like the EU AI Act), integrated "security-first" design in AI systems, proactive threat detection via explainable AI and zero-trust architectures, and widespread use of autonomous and AI-powered cybersecurity tools to both defend against and sometimes be misused in AI-driven attacks.
