Getting Id Value Back Not Text Value

Hi,

 

Dropdown work bit different from other control like textbox. Two thing to note about drop down is one is display values which is text we able to see in web page and other value is value which we are storing in DB.

 

Check your values where you have your data saving query. 

 

DropdownList1.SelectedItem.Value -- It means values(which has values) will store in database

DropdownList1.SelectedItem.Text   -- It means text(which we able to see front) will store in database
