Guidance to Career Path

I am having total 12 year of IT experience . I started my career by doing coding in VB. Now i am currently working on ASP.Net MVC. But my aspiration is move on Architect side. I am looking for an opportunity in my company but i couldnt get it. Right now my role is technical lead handling 8 members team. Myself i am touch base with latest technology and going through the article. i am looking for hands on experience on architect side.
