Help(dont know what to name)

Lets say I have 3 variables,
g1 g2 g3

now I have another variable
x(x is not the same each time)

(these are all ints)

now I want to do
g(x) + g(x) = g2
How could I do that, I know this is a poor question and example but I am tired!

The best thing to do is to define an array:

int[] g = {1, 2, 3}; // or whatever values you want to give the 3 elements of the array.

So, the first element is g[0], the second g[1] and the third g[2] - notice that array indexing has to start at 0 - and their initial values are 1,2 and 3 respectively.

You can then do stuff like this:

int x = 1;
g[2] = g[x] + g[x]; // g[2] is now 2 + 2 = 4
