I guess i have been very polite here in forums,yet people are complaining and exhibiting egos... sad:(

If people go through this thread and see each and every post i have been very polite in-fact i am facing unnecessary wrath of a person..

Suchitra tell me what I told you wrong about confige files. Whatever is present in articles suggested by suthish not other than that. And one more thing here we are spending our time to solve your queries we aspect your satisfaction no negetive reply. This programming forum nit a tu-tu-mai-mai forum please. If you are not satisfied with my reply then just ask more thing don't reply cilly things. Not in case of me any other person also. If you are thinking that we are replying your post only for earning point then you are wrong. From out work we are giving time to solve your queries not for earning points. While replying next time take care of those thing please.

I know its not good to post a lots of links, but you need to read a lot to clear your basics

If you are asking any question we may solve it but see what you are asking. Just you want some info about that according to me i have given some points toward's that what ever you think it's not my problem. Please post your thread properly next time.

ya see confige file is for configuring your application for example you might want to store some username and password in confige file you can store in those cases where you are not using database. Another example writing connection strings with database you can  write it in the classes also but that writing again and again same thing those you can store it in confige file and just can access not writing again and again. One more example what kind of Authentication you are using for your application means Windows,Passport or Forms those all setting you can set in web.congige file. If you want some basics of those thing just check out the articles on right side of this thread.
I hope now you understand what you can do with web.confige file.

whatever setting related to application you can configure in web.confige file like managing connection string,managing role based security etc...
