instead of value it is returning same text.how to get value in this field .Value is returning in js file

Js and aspx are in different pages
In inspect :
document.getElementById("SelectedViewTemplateName")
value="123">

In view frame source:

name="SelectedViewTemplateName" type="hidden" id="SelectedViewTemplateName" value="<%=selectedViewTemplateName%>" />

Hi Nageshwar,

If every thing is showing correctly then please try below lines of code (JQuery).

If ASP.Net control and javascript both are on same page, then use

var value = $("#"+ '<%= SelectedViewTemplateName.ClientID %>').val();

If you want to access the control from some JS file, then
// 'id$' will cause jQuery to search control whose ID ends with 'SelectedViewTemplateName'

var value = $('input[id$=SelectedViewTemplateName]').val();

Javascript :

var value = document.getElementById("<%= SelectedViewTemplateName.ClientID %>").value

In inspect elements value is getting correct but in view frame source not getting

Yes, I agree with Manas, Try once and check what is the exact value of hidden field.

Before getting value, try to see what is the value present in hidden field. In browser, press F12 to enable developer tool and see what is value there in hidden field. Mostly you will find wrong value in hidden field.

How did you try to fetch value from Hidden field
Secondly, are you using jQuery??
